Ever since Royal Rumble a couple of weeks ago, WWE fans have been left wondering what the main event would be for WrestleMania XL would be and who would be in it.

The Rock coming back into the fold at the start of the year threw everything for a loop, leaving Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes intertwined. But at the WrestleMania XL Kickoff on Thursday, it all came to a head.

It all kicked off when Rhodes claimed Reigns and Rock’s ancestors “would be ashamed” of them. The Rock stepped in, angry, and proceeded to slap Rhodes following a short retort.

This happened directly after Rhodes had chosen Roman to challenge him for his belt at the biggest wrestling event of the year. Chief content officer Triple H confirmed the fight after the event.

After it all cooled down, while Triple H was doing an interview backstage, The Rock and Roman Reigns walked past. The Rock interrupted the interview and let him know how he felt.

It’s all setting up for an explosive next two months leading up to WrestleMania. Wrestling fans have so much to look forward to in the near future.
