In addition to his incredible speed, power, and all-around athletic prowess, Cristiano Ronaldo is admired globally for his opulent private plane.
Ronaldo, 36, bought his Gulfstream G200 plane for £20million back in 2015, when he was lighting up La Liga for Real Madrid.
The Manchester United striker chose to purchase the luxurious vehicle because it can reach a top speed of 560 kilometers per hour and is useful for his frequent travels to and from his home country of Portugal.
The twin-engine aircraft, which was formerly known as the Astra Galaxy, has a range of up to 3,910 miles and can accommodate four passengers and a small crew.
Up to 10 passengers may also be accommodated on a single flight with the seating arrangement changed; two crew members are needed to operate the private aircraft.
Following its initial flight two years prior and its approval by US and Israeli aviation regulators in 1998, the G200 was first made available for purchase in 1999.
Before production of the aircraft ended in 2011, 250 versions were produced; by that time, the G250, which was renamed the G280, was becoming more and more popular.
In recent years, Ronaldo has shared numerous photos from the jet with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has a modern home with a restored interior in 2019 and a wardrobe, Wi-Fi, a phone, fax machine, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, and entertainment system.
It is thought that Ronaldo started his five-day time of seclusion last week by flying to Manchester Airport from Faro, Portugal.
At the height of the summer transfer season, he returned to United from Juventus, paying an initial £12.8 million.
In addition, it’s thought that Ronaldo has a Gulfstream G650, which costs well over twice as much as the G200 and has an 8,000-mile range.
The Sporting Lisbon academy graduate, who is expected to earn an incredible £480,000 a week at United, is constantly near the top of Forbes’ sporting rich list.
With a salary of £375,000 a week, Ronaldo is the highest paid player on the Red Devils roster and the most lucrative in Premier League history. David de Gea comes in second.
Ronaldo’s several endorsement deals—the most notable being his partnership with Nike—supplement his salary. In 2016, he inked a £14.68 million, ten-year contract with the American outfitter.
In addition to numerous other business endeavors, Ronaldo is involved in partnerships with Clear Haircare and Tag Heuer.
