Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has a good reason for why he gives out toys for Easter — not candy

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is all about giving his daughter Jasmine Lia, 3, toys for Easter, but he’s not the biggest fan of hooking her up with candy.

Sharing a sweet father-daughter shot from their family Easter egg hunt, Johnson, 46, elaborated about how he chooses to celebrate the spring holiday.

“If you look right there, you’ll find what the Easter Daddy, I mean Bunny left you. 100 eggs for Jazzy & her cousins for their hunt – all filled with tiny toys,” he wrote, adding, “no candy when you come to the Rock’s house.”

Explaining his anti-sugar stance, the actor went on to share “last thing I need is wrangling a bunch of whacked out kiddos who’ve become candy crack heads on the sugar come down.”

“We had such a fun Easter with our ohana and hope you guys did too,” the father of three added, noting that now that the holiday is over it’s time to “get back to work.”

Johnson and his longtime love Lauren Hashian share daughters Jasmine Lia and Tiana Gia, who celebrated her first birthday last week. The actor is also a father to daughter Simone, 17.

Of course, Easter wasn’t the only big day Johnson celebrated recently.

In a loving ode to his 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 girl on her first birthday, Johnson shared that he would “always” have Tiana’s back.

“Happy 1st Birthday to our strong lil’ beauty, Tiana Gia,” he wrote alongside a sweet photo of Johnson holding up his daughter’s arms to show her strength.

“Get used to daddy’s hands kid ~ they’ll always have your back,” he added.

The celebration seemingly went a little smoother than when Johnson sang happy birthday to his 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢 girl on her 6-month-birthday and found himself face-to-face with a disapproving daughter.

“Happy birthday to you / happy birthday to you / happy 6-month birthday, dear Tiana Gia / happy birthday to you,” the actor sang in the selfie-style video shared to his Instagram account in October.

“Daddy loves you. Happy birthday,” continued Johnson as Tiana looked around, distracted by her desire for something else and not quite connecting with her dad’s musical gesture.

“‘I just want breast milk!’ ” the star mimicked while Tiana got visibly fussier, adding to the camera with a laugh, “Yeah, don’t we all.”

He captioned the cute clip (tagging girlfriend Hashian), “Happy 6 month Birthday to our lil’ disrupter, Tiana Gia. We’re a family of non-traditionalists so we celebrate everything
