Extremely shocked at the amount of money Al Nassr was willing to spend on Casemiro
Many people were shocked after learning how much Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr was willing to pay for Man United midfielder Casemiro.
The Brazilian midfielder is being pursued by a number of clubs in the Saudi Pro League, of which champions Al Hilal seem quite determined. However, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr is the team that pays the most.
The two sides had initial negotiations, with Casemiro also wanting to leave MU to go to Saudi Arabia to reunite with CR7. The former Real Madrid player’s value has plummeted recently after a poor second season at Man United. But Caught Offside say Al Nassr is willing to pay up to 100 million euros (£85 million) for the 32-year-old.
This amount is a record fee paid by a Saudi team, second only to the £86 million fee Al Hilal paid to acquire Neymar from PSG.
If the deal is successful, Man United will make a profit of 15 million pounds after spending 70 million pounds to recruit Casemiro from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022. And this makes many people really shocked.
One MU fan wrote: “It’s unimaginable that we received so much from Casemiro.” Another replied: @AlNassrFC_EN I speak on behalf of every Manchester United fan, if you give us that money we will buy an Al Nassr shirt for each of you.”
Another commented: “I will personally drive him there.” A fourth person commented: “This must be a joke. But if it is true, MU should accept it immediately and bring Casemiro to Saudi Arabia as quickly as possible.”
One last person expressed doubts: “This will be his salary or transfer fee plus his salary. There’s no way they’ll pay him like that.”
Casemiro still has at least two years left on his contract with Man United, after signing a four-year contract with the option to extend for a further year in 2022. His salary is up to £350,000 a week. Casemiro made 83 appearances in all competitions in 2 seasons for MU, winning 1 League Cup and 1 FA Cup.
