Its so good to see 3985 rolling again after 12 years retired and 5511 too. Amazing shots, I love it ! Cant wait to see more footage of theses legendary locomotives rolling on the rails. Also brings lots of nostalgia from 8 years ago when UP 4014 was moved from California to Cheyenne.

Nice to see these historical engines and coaches running on the main line again,which will be restored and return to operation.And I believe the best way to preserve a historical train is to bring her back to life!

Up in northern Minnesota there are 3 Yellowstone’s (2-8-8-4), all within 35 miles of each other and known for pulling some of the heaviest ore trains ever recorded. As much as I like to see any steam locomotive restored for posterity, it would be gratifying to see one of those Yellowstone’s restored to operating condition, especially No.225, which is kept outside exposed to the elements.
