SPOT rescue station! took the name of the actor – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – for the dog because of this action. “The dog needs to become a warrior to overcome this battle. By naming the dog The Rock, we believe it will be stronger.”
The GoFundMe website thanks those who donated and says the excess donations will be used to help other sick dogs. According to TMZ , actress Jamie Chung also donated $600.
The Rock is famous for his love of animals. He once adopted two French Bulldogs after rescuing them from his swimming pool.
